  10. ORCID has been developed to allow rapid access to large datafiles
  11. containing digitised  boundary data. It has been written by Bath
  12. University Computing Services (BUCS) on behalf of the ESRC Wales and
  13. South West Regional Research Laboratory.

  15. Using ORCID it is possible to extract boundaries from one of several
  16. datasets and write them out to a file in a form suitable for input into
  17. a mapping package. The boundaries may be drawn if a graphics terminal is
  18. used to log on to BUCS.
